2013-06-08 - Jardin Majorelle
On one of the hottest days we experienced in Marrakech, where the temperature reached a searing 47 degrees C, we found shelter in the oasis that is Jardin Majorelle. Created by French painter Jacques Majorelle over a period of 40 years, the gardens are a wonderful escape from the harsh and hectic environment of Marrakech.
When I saw the signature blue wall and bench, I knew I wanted to create a portrait here. Marina was a very patient subject and somehow manages to look very cool and composed, despite the extreme heat!
