2005-08-30 - Ride
After several days at Coronet Peak, we decided to go and check out The Remarkables snow field across the valley. The bus ride up is longer (45+ minutes each way) but there's no shortage of good views.
The light was very flat when we got up there so not great for photos. That wasn't the only challenge it provided - because everything was white and there were no shadows, it was almost impossible to see bumps and slopes in the snow. Most of the time, the only reason I knew there was an increased slope was because I suddenly started going faster. A very odd sensation indeed.
