2006-10-21 - Goose Grin

Yesterday I received a new piece of camera gear - a 1.7x teleconverter for my 70-200VR. What does that mean? Basically, I now have a 119-340mm F/4.8 VR lens :-) That's equivalent to a focal length of 510mm in 35mm standards. The extra reach will no doubt come in very handy.

I've only just started experimenting with it but I'm already getting shots I wouldn't have managed in the past. I've also realised that I'm going to have to work on my technique to ensure sharp shots with these long focal lengths...

Oh, and today marks my 600th daily photo!
